Just for information purposes...Sea Ray out of Merritt Island, Fl uses someone in Port of Houston/Galveston to ship all of their big boats world wide. They regularly run a caravan of boats through the Cross Florida route via Lake Okeechobee, up the west coast to Panama City and over to Houston. They must be saving a bunch to side step 3: Major Ports on the east Coast of Florida to go to Texas.

A friend of mine is a Captain that makes these runs for them several times a year...they must be on to something.
