Try pm'ing "Scarab28Germany" - he has had several boats including his latest 37 AT purchased out of Miami ( if I remember correctly)... he would probably be a good avenue to check with as well as what documentation their customs want to make sure your sale goes smooth for both parties

Will it fit in a 40' container??? there is a company http://boatstoeurope.com/ that con give you a quick quote as well I think

For a 40' container to gydnia poland cost me I believe 4200 with all paper work and customs in the us and poland. Actual shipping was about 3900. It shipped out of jacksonville fla, unloaded in a german port and then sent to poland also by boat. I have the contact info to the firm I used at the house. Let me know if you need it.

thanks.. I found a guy who would ship at $4k plus local tariffs and transport on his end. (germany).

After I forwared my broker (pop) he replied that he made a mistake and the qoute was only $6k...

Had him send my qoute as well.. hopefully he bites!

Good deal. If you have any questions feel free to pm and I can pass on what I know about the process in the US and across the pond.

I've had good luck with Peters & May, Vic gets back to me with quotes and they seem in-line.

Freight can be outrageous. I would be surprised if it could be containerized, so you're looking at a flat rack, which is big money. I would guess it could be left on the trailer if it was flat-racked, but you're still looking at quite a bit of money to transport to Miami, freight from New Orleans is likely to be much more, by truck or rail. Not to mention inland freight, if required, in Germany. Shipping a vehicle/ boat is not like shipping goods, quite a bit more involved and not a place where you want to cut corners. If it can be squeezed into a container, then it will be quite a bit easier and more affordable, but still not a walk in the park. I would make sure that whoever ships it has experience shipping boats to the intended destination.

The quote I found had it going to Galveston for $650. Haven't heard anything yet, but I'm not holding my breath! Waiting for Eddie to break down an offer to take mine on trade! I would make him a good deal! :party-smiley-004:
