New trailer for WaveRunners.......brakes needed?

Never had these WaveRunners before and I'm having a trailer made, but I was thinking that perhaps this is so light that trailer bakes aren't needed? I'm setting it up for two WaveRunners, and dual axle plus a storage box on front.

Thoughts?

Why dual axle? Single axle will be much easier to move around and its not like you need the weight capacity?

I have 2 waverunners on a double trailer. Don't need brakes on trailer unless your pulling them with a prius:party-smiley-004: As far as the dual axles go my thoughts are that a single will work fine (that's what I have) but dual could come in handy if you ever have a blowout.

One other thing on the single/dual axle thing is when I wash mine out I tilt the trailer all the way up and stick a pipe under tongue. With a dual axle you will not be able to do that very easy. Unless you are going to be pulling long distances the single may be the better route.

Single

Single worked fine for two PWC's absolutely no problems towing. EZ loader trailer had no brakes, but did have the oil bath bearings. These Seadoos were about 800 lbs a piece, add trailer wt and tool box, spare tire your'e probably still under or about 2400 lbs.

Dual axle?!!! On a wave runner trailer?!!! Do they even make axles light enough to fit two on a PWC trailer without over-springing the trailer? One 3,500 pound axle seems to work great for PWC trailers.

Oh, and I can't see needing brakes on it if you are pulling with any normal truck or SUV.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I went with dual axle in case there is a blow out......seemed safer to me. It has torsion axles not springs so I could just take the flat tire off and haul till the next stop? I know our F350 would be fine, but wanted the option to haul with my wife's GL450 as well.....

Pics from last week, and yesterday. It will probably be done next week.
