2012 F350 What should I have to pay?

Might be time to upgrade, my old '97 F350 (bought new) has been showing signs of age in the last few trips.. Local Ford dealer has a sweet 2012 F350 4X4 SRW, in blue (matches the Cigge!) that caught my eye. Here's the listing. 2012 Ford Super Duty F-350 SRW For Sale Portland

I do not need this truck but would buy if I can steal it. What would be considered a steal???

Thanks,

Kurt

For what it's worth, I picked up my 2011 F250 Lariat, SRW, Crew Cab, and fully loaded with 27k for 40K...

While I know the difference is 8 miles compared to 27k, considering the warranty that comes with it and the extended options that are available, may be worth 18k for you to see what's available on the used market. If you look long enough, there will always be a great vehicle in like new condition out there!

Sounds pretty fair at $58,000 don't think you'll do much better then 55,000 you can go to the site and build a new F-350 and just compare it to a new unit

Similar deal but a dually, they had it listed at 47,900 2 weeks ago. Dealer is a no haggle dealer, lowest price on windshield so that tells you there is a few bucks more left in the deal. New 2012 truck is soon to be 2 years old so no way is it worth what a new one is worth (not sure what above post was thinking).

there hardly are ever steals in used new at dealers. This truck is new your best bet is rebates and maybe a couple thousand on top of that. best bet would probably be around 52-54 before tax and tags. But you may price out new and look at rebates and such.

Best deal overall on diesels are usually ones that are 2-3 years old. I bought an 07 F250 6.0 in 2009 with 30k miles for 28, great shape, long bed extended cab off road. Sold that and in 2010 bought a 2008 F250 6.4 with 14k on it XLT long bed extended cab for 30. Nice thing about that one is it actually was sold in MAY of 09 so it was a year old truck, still dont understand why it was so cheap. I could never justify the new price of a diesel unless you got 20-30k to throw down that 50k loan at even 7 years is going to be a nice chunk of change monthly.

Might also look at what your towing as F250s there are more out there and might be cheaper.

well what i was thinking was i'd run the build #s on a new one and for me with an A plan the difference would'nt be worth going with the 2012 ,for Biggus he'd have to weigh his odds on the difference from the 2012 to new

They probably still arent going to take below what they paid for it. You could go in there and say look, truck is 2 years old whats your invoice and Ill take it. But 2012 doesnt mean its old. My 2011 was built in OCT on the same lines as 12s were so depending on the build date I actually have an 11 that is probably newer than a few 12s rolling around.

Hey Kurt,
A buddy showed me this site, interesting the way it displays what has sold. You might need to play with it a little, especially with the zipcode, but try it.
