Go to a site such as Cars.com, and configure the truck the way it's equipped. That should give you a ballpark invoice price. I wouldn't give any dealer a dime more than INVOICE price, with the rebates deducted on top of that. Period. Otherwise you are overpaying. If you know of anyone who works for Ford, or one of it's suppliers, you should be able to get an A, X, or Z plan price, which will be even better. Ford does discounting better than anyone, and there are plenty of salespeople online that can help you knock down a low price. If you happen to have a friend who does lots of fleet purchasing for a business, ask them to help you order. Most local dealers will match an out of state price to make a sale, if not, many dealers will pick you up at the airport to pick up your new rig.

I hear ya Nort. My old Ford has treated me well but its got 160k on it and going to be making a lot of trips to Boston over the next year or two. Have been wanting a Porsche GT3 badly (used, can't afford new) but looks like I'll be spending that $$ on a new truck. -Not really pumped about spending 50k + on a truck...

Thanks for all the advise. This particular truck is a 2012, with the 2014's right around the corner, how much can I expect them to drop. -Years back, when I bought the '97, it was a left over, purchased in March '98 sticker was 28.5 got it for 21.5 -the dealer dropped 7k on that truck, |

if you are a member of USAA try their car buying service. In order to be a memeber you have to be a vet or the child of a vet.

Ooohh! I so want a GT3, (orange please w/blk rims) but need a reliable truck to make the money.
We have about 3 dozen PGA players living in the area (Tiger, Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus being the most famous) but most are not car guys though Tiger drives a S65 and Greg has had a sizable car collection over the years but you rarely see him driving anything but a late model Range Rover. |
