2007 was the GMT 900. Prior to that was the GMT 800 so there a redesign. My 2004 Avalanche has no cracks.

You can go back further than that. My 1998 Tahoe did it the same as yours on the drivers side, but it was at around 240,000 miles. I can't complain though, it is still in great shape and now is at 304,000.
