I think this will work out very nicely for me, i`ll be able to lower the catch to load/unload and raise it against the hull for support for trailering.
I may even get fancy and forget the manual trailer jack/drill method and get a electric one

M friend did exactly this on an electric unit over the winter for his 50 footer. His goes almost completely up and down. Solved all his launching problems.
BTW, these are cheap and fit the rubber mount snug, they have elastic around the edges. Saves the paint/gel....in fact it polishes it
