Carlisle hydrastar EOH
I was checking over the trailer before I go to Cumberland for the poker run on Thursday. I notice a little grease around the right rear wheel so I pull it apart and realize I am in serious need of new brakes on the trailer. They were replaced 7 years ago when we re did the trailer. With that here is my dilemma. About a year and a half ago I bought a Carlisle hydrastar EOH brake system for the drum brakes that were on the trailer. Well I did not install it until this June call it laziness or stupidity. Now I am thinking since i need new brakes that I am going to disc.
So my first question are the Kodiak conversion kits good?
Can I change a part in the carlise brake booster to make it compatible with disc ? My supplier tells me they are different and the new part is 542.00 which is close to what I paid for the one I just put on.
If I ad to buy a new piece is there a market for a slightly used less than 500 miles hydrastar brake booster for drum brakes?

Kodiak... VERY good; best on market IMHO.
As for the Carlisle... best to check with Carlisle directly. It appears as though www.carlislebrake.com is down though. May try to go though www.carlisle.com
www.championtrailerparts.com are very knowledgeable as well as www.etrailer.com

Thanks for the input. I will order the Kodiak stuff once I get back from Cumberland. Also I sold the brake pump I have to a guy at work so I should take the burden off of purchasing a new one.
