I added long tube headers, K&N cold air intake and an ECM tune via EFI Live on a 5.3 Suburban. Night and day difference, I can easily brake-torque my 285 All-Terrians and I have to watch the gas in the rain. It used to die at 80, now it pulls hard past 100. The headers made as much of a difference as the tune. By the way, I am still running stock exhaust. The truck is so much fun to drive now that I have a hard time keeping my foot out of it, which doesn't bode well for my transmissions, yes plural, as in too many.

A tune with Black bear or Hypertech, aqnd an exhaust system- full dual- will make a big difference. The 6.0 is a stout motor.

I've only seen one "full dual" exhaust on one of these trucks it was custom made and didn't make anymore power over a single 3". Justin does very well with the tunes especially when you data log it with efi live and send him the log file. Disabling the torque management and turning on the power enrichment from 1 mph really wakes these up. The sky is the limit. I worked on one that had angle milled dart heads, cam, rockers, edelbrock intake, long tubes etc. made over 450rwhp but it wasn't exactly bolt ons and the guy was well over 10k deep. Do the tune and call it a day if it were me. Actually that's what I did with my work truck lol

Contrary to popular belief, K&N and the like, just rob you of fuel mileage. More air means you need more fuel to mix with said air.
Great looking truck!
You are going to have to backup that statement. More air and fuel if burnt properly means more torque. Yes you will be able to move a given load faster in a given time. Same load in same time = same fuel

2500HD's come with e-rated tires, wider than stock or taller than stock will hurt your fuel mileage and performance

Black Bear is the best but I must say...Super Chips Program out of the box made a BIG improvement in my '05 Escalade LQ9. With no other changes mine pulls away from my friends stock 6.2 2007 and tops out at just shy of 130 on the topside.

Jesus, 130mph in an Escalade? I don't like doing 130 in a Vette.
