Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps

Looking for something that fits a 2.5" hitch.

Found the following, any feedback?

Anyone use similar?

Looked at those but only says for 2" reciever, I use a 2.5". Also, the protection area is not as big as the ones I posted.

Any others?

The Rock Tamers are now offered in 2.5". You can call and order them direct since they aren't in stores yet. I got mine in November. I called them at least once a year since 2008 asking for 2.5" mounts... They finally offer them but as you said, they don't cover as well as the bristles. I went with them anyways since I figured the bristles would always look dirty.

Thanks for that info! I will look into them a bit more....I think I like the bristles.

Let's see what others think.

I've had the rock tamers for 3 years now, they do a great job. I had mine cut out to fit my 2.5 receiver.

I have a set of Rock Tamers that were setup for my SRW truck. I'd say they work well, but they are a giant heavy awkward PITA to keep around, install, and store.

I have the molded mudflaps on my DRW truck now, and extended them a bit lower with another mudflap attached inside of them. I'll probably replace them with something else this spring though.

That was my next plan if they didn't get with the times and update to the 2.5" drawbars... My biggest problem was the stock exhaust on my 2008 Silverado. I needed to pull my new boat back from Northern Michigan in November so I had to hurry up and modify the right side flap. Since then, I changed the exhaust to 4" MBRP Stainless that exits more out the side. The replacement flap for the one I hacked up is about $30.

If you are running a turned up diesel, the heat from the exhaust will melt the bristles

Tuned or not, the new diesel's exhaust is very hot now and our Rock Tamers flap on the exhaust side is warping a little.
