I guess I missed the part where Cummins or GM has only had one package in the last 10-15 years...........or two for that matter.......or three.

They've ALL been guilty of trying to "one up" the other guy for well over a decade now. As consumers we are guilty of supporting their efforts in this battle too. It's simple guys, if the product doesn't work for you don't buy it. Don't make it your goal in life to keep the entire world from purchasing something you don't like just because it doesn't pet your fur the right way. Let the guys that enjoy a product talk about in their threads and leave it alone.

There are certain brand boats I don't care for but I don't go to their owner forums and tell them they are all stupid for buying one. Everyone has an opinion, that's all it is at the end of the day.

Get over it.....

The Duramax is an evolution of the original block in all it's versions and since 06 they have all been to add further emissions control, not three clean sheet redesigns after one good one (the 7.3)

There is no doubt that many 7.3 Ford customers have been seriously disillusioned since the 6.0, 6.4 and now the 6.7. My neighbor has had all three and if his BIL wasn't the GM of the local Ford house he would have been out significant money. Instead every time major problems cropped up he got a smoking deal on a trade-in.

His 6.7 had the evaporator coil go out at 40k miles no warranty. Had to pay to get the dash pulled out of his less than two year old truck.

I don't feel any guilt about my choice of vehicle but then it's a GMC Duramax so there is no need to.

Diesel was 4.299 and gas 3.699 on tuesday 3/11 when I filled my Av. Not saying that is always the case.

Sorry I mis typed or had a senior moment.... which seems to be happening more and more....

You're preaching to the choir with that. There were replies in this thread about HP going up every year and trying to out do the next guy. I was referring to those replies. I have zero issue with it. Nor do I with the brand truck I choose to own, or the one others choose to own.

Wow, I feel kind of silly b!tching about our current road fuel in KC. We did just have a $.25 bump in the past month but I assume that was similar over most regions as the reason given was refineries shut down for annual maintenance.
$3.40 gas
$3.69 diesel

we dropped both by 4 cents this past week.
