EoH and 2013 F-150 brake controller
Hey guys,
I am having my trailer worked on, my brakes are hosed and I'm having everything redone. Turns out my surge actuator is hosed as well, so it's really not a big jump in price to do EoH at this juncture.
I am trying to figure out my brake controller situation. I've read that the older Ford brake controllers don't work on EoH. But I'm also reading that the newer ones do, Ford's website states that it works for EoH brakes. Obviously there's conflicting information. I'd really like to be able to use my stock one and not have to spend extra money, then tear my dash apart.
So is anyone using EoH with a newer Ford brake controller?

I believe you bought a 2013 F150 and the issue I learned was that there is some type of in-line resistor that needs to be installed. I have an eagle trailer and it did not have one with the prior owner when he first purchased it. Whatever resistor that was necessary was installed and they work GREAT for me.
I'm running a 2011 f250 with factor controls and I LOVE IT!!!!

Yes I did, truck has been working awesome for towing my boat. Very happy with it. Even with the stopping without brakes LOL.
Cool, glad to hear it's working in your case. Just for my knowledge, what EoH actuator are you using?

I know on my 2013 if you go into the trailer brake settings there is and option to select EOH. I have not used it but just wanted to make sure you knew there was an option in there to do so.

Just in case anyone is looking. Just picked up my trailer with a Titan EoH and it works perfectly with my stock equipment.
Absolutely love it. With EoH the EcoBoost is a fantastic towing platform for my Sunsation Dominator. The only real concern was braking (my trailer had none) and the EoH system with two axle disc makes it tow without any nervousness.

Like JWay, all you have to do is find the menu to switch from electric to hydraulic brake controller and you should be set. I have a 2011 F-350 and it has no problem with the EOH system and I am certain yours shouldn't either. You'll love the way your new system will work, no more banging!!

It does have the screen but I looked through every trailer option and didn't find anything. But...it works great so I'm not concerned about it yet. Put on 100 miles this weekend no issues.
