tows like a dream, i went to 19.5's as well, it's a static drop 8 and 6", but I did add helper bags because depending on how much fuel is in it when i tow it can change the tongue weight, with quarter tanks i was just over 20k pounds on a cat scale at a truck stop. I will probably put the truck up for sale soon as I have a desire for a sportchassis.

Still 4600 lbs less than my pig.

Throw one of these behind your Tiger (4700lbs) and you might change your mind about the power of a gasser.:daz:

Mine was actually around 20k with fumes in the fuel tank. This weekend, I towed back with 3/4 tank of fuel, a bed loaded front to back to tools, coolers, luggage, and a ton of crap in the cabin of the boat. I'll bet i was around 21-22k lbs coming back.

I wonder how they moved your boat around in 1985 with a big block gasser smog engine dually that made 230HP and 360FT lbs of torque? They surely werent using the power house 6.2L diesel at that time that made a whopping 130HP and 247FT lbs of torque. :band:

Heres some good vids......

Nice average 7.6 MPG on this dodge cummins towing up the grade. From what I read on the interweb, I would have thought this cummins 6.7 would have accelerated up this grade at 80mph at part throttle and got 18mpg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsWnNjO8ooY

I don`t know what I was thinking you guys changed my mind, this 8.1l is awesome !! I let of the gas and it keeps accelerating uphill, the gas gauge doesn`t show the first number so that 6mpg is actually 16mpg! I love this thing!
In 1985 they didn`t have any cell phones either that don`t mean I`m going to be looking for a phone booth anytime soon.

Hold on let me get my 1985 drill so I can add some gauges to the dash
