I bought my last set of SS caps off of eBay. I don't have holes drilled in them but I will usually hit them with the hose, and then the leaf blower or blow gun before backing into the garage after a trip.

I bought McGuard lug nuts from a local tire shop a few years ago and they have held up well. They do have a tiny bit of rust on them, but nothing terrible. The McGuard rep happened to be there when I bought them and gave me a written guarantee with his name on it that he'd replace them if they rusted up. I'll take him up on that one day.

Whatever you do, do NOT buy the Stainless Steel lug nuts! I made that mistake a few years ago. They are stainless steel CAPS over zinc lug nuts. The zinc lug nut rusts UNDER the stainless cap, and the stainless cap then starts to spin or come off completely making a royal PITA to remove. Ask me how I know that.

Trailer came with stainless capped lugs and they were part of the problem as well! New lugs are here as are the wheels, went to get the tires remounted but left the unit's key on the kitchen counter! See, those damn boating gods didn't waste any time. I will just have to try again.

I think I am going forego the center caps and see if they bother me. If I get another set I'll drill them for sure.

Thanks again guys!
