I had a train horn on my 2500 and it was powered by a nitrogen tank that I stored in a tool box in the bed. I bought a new truck and have no tool box. I want to just get a tank and compressor to mount under neath but had a few questions about buying a compressor. I know a lot of kits come with the Viair 400 so finding one online isn't a problem, what my concern was is finding something to shut it down when it gets up to 150psi. Most of the compressor look like there rated to go to 200psi and with a tank only rated at 150 I don't want to be pushing in. I need like a pressure switch that cuts it on and off between certain psi, anyone have any suggestions?

If you want a real 12v air compressor check out Oasis Mfg. That's what I have for the air ride suspension on my truck, gooseneck, and soon to be on my boat trailer as well. Oasis carries an adjustable pressure switch as well.

My tank came with a pressure switch installed and prewired.. .I did have to replace it because it leaked

I had a 33 gallon craftsman compressor tank in my truck. I used a 12v battery for the solenoid. I'd just air the tank up when it got below 90. What stupid fun I had. I'd turn them on downtown Monroe and haul ass all the way north. Can't believe I never got pulled over or arrested. Lol

I'll check out there site again. My tank is small so I may upgrade. It last long enough for 3-4 short honks.
