As an FYI....Stopped and looked at a 6.7L F350 at lunch...Sticker was $68k :faint2: Told them I would need at least 12-15k off sticker before I would even consider it...I was told in no uncertain terms that it wouldn't be a problem...

Now to convince the decision maker...

That will be the difficult part..

The 3.23 gear is not near as good, but would get you by.
The 5.3 is not going to do the job with or without (NHT). The 6.2 is a great motor with 420 hp & 460 lbs torque & is night & day better motor!
The 2015 6.2 also is capable of 20 mpg plus hwy when not trailering.

The 6.2 in my 09 LTZ Tahoe gets nowhere near 20 mpg. Never even uncovered the hitch. Strong motor for sure. Close to 90k on it now.
Fuel pump went out at about 80k- Warranty at 75k lol fukrs

Always towed my scarab with either a Tahoe or suburban.boat only weighs about 4-5k with trailer and it would push the truck around on the hyway.bought a 13 gmc Denali hd 2500 with the 6.0 and can cruise at 80 with boat and no problems.not sure about new 1500 pickups but they used to have only frt disks and rear drums, 2500 has big 4 wheel disks.no comparison 1500 to 2500

how much will you be towing? A short distance to the local ramp? Far away a couple times a year? The cost of the diesel is a few grand more, 15-18 quarts of oil at oil change, fuel filters way more often, no real advantage in mileage, 1-2 towing maybe, unloaded about the same, DEF.

The new 6.2 L86 VVT has a ton of torque down low. That engine makes over 400 ft lbs over 2500 rpm and 350ft lbs at 1500 rpm.

The issue is when you load a 1500 up with the Max Tow package it costs nearly as much as a 2500. The interiors are basically identical.

Well I decided to go with the half ton 6.2 420hp I believe 440 torq ltz was 10 grand cheaper than the 3/4 ton I wanted . The 9200 tow capacity will be fine for my 242's ! I'm about a half mile from the ramp . And I can always trade it in for bigger if I feel like it in a few years !

That engine is a great engine. Turns that truck into a hot rod. Tell us how you like it.

The truck is fast as hell , only has 125 miles so I haven't done any smoke shows , but I hit the gas about half way and the rear tire started spinning then the traction control kicked in and both tires were spinning !
I love the truck personally and is light years ahead of the 3/4 ton o5 gmc I traded in ! Handles great ! My work truck is a 3/4 ton ford with 35000 miles and there is already a lot of play in the suspension and can tell at about 80000 miles its gonna be worn out .
Love the LCD touch screen in the chevy too was told its the same as the corvettes .just a sweet truck plenty of room and amenities !

Oh and came with sweet 22's and 8speed tranny good on gas !
