All the "Bulletproof" updates have been done, it has a $3000 pro comp lift and is running a Banks exhaust and six gun. Someone spent a hoard of money on the mechanics of this truck and then used it as a work truck and cosmetically it's not pretty

Wish I would have got a pic of that.
IMHO the turbo Ford 7.3 diesel is one of the best truck engines ever made. I have a 1999 F250 crew cab 4wd and it pulls the Formula 280ss great. Gets decent mileage towing too (around 10mpg). These and the older turbo cummins are the way to go for a part time tow vehicle.

Glad to see you came to your senses and got a worthy truck before any serious incident happened. The cosmetics can be done realatively cheap to make it look nicer. Lucky for you somebody already did all the mechanical work. Enjoy the boat and truck combo.

It's not too hard to score a good truck if you have patience. I just picked up my 2nd two dually. The first is my 92 Chevy 2wd and it's good for the smaller things, but it has a 5-speed, so for the 38 Special, I went and got this 98 with only 92k miles on it out of Denver last weekend. It's a little more than I need with the Pro Comp lift and all, but 3 shocks on each wheel never hurt anything. lol
Oh, and got it for 8k even.....no rattles, bangs and smooth as can be at 85 mph.
