Dan, try Damond @ Freight Quote, I have found his prices to be the best and reliable service. 816-949-6147.
Hope this helps you and good luck |
I have had great luck with forward air. check them out www.forwardair.com
I ship engines and trans every day. I usually spend 100-200. Have it sent to a commercial address with a way to unload it so you don t get hit with liftgate and residential fees. I would be happy to quote it throught my guys for you monday when i get to my yard.

i can't remember who it was but scorpion /illmor shipped from michigan to st louis for under $200 and it was only 3-4 days.had to have a loading dock
Used R&L from Ohio to Southern California. 450 bucks and I dropped it off at the carrier hub and shipped to a comercial address with a loading dock.
I have used Forward Air as well as Freight Quote. Great service from both.
I've had luck shipping through Fastenal's 3PL shipping. If there is a Fastenal local to you and the end customer it's worth a quote.

I used Freight Quote shipped to a shiiping dock. Pretty reasonable.
I also used Freightz.com and they dropped the engine upside down and refused to pay for damages. Engine was in a Mercruiser engine shipping crate.
