shipping an engine

it must be me, every time i go anywhere near a shipping facility they raise their prices
trying to get a 454 from 49675 to 32905
u ship bids at 475. thru fed ex freight, i call fed ex freight then they want 1024.00
r&l isn't answering phone
any help, ideas etc. is appreciated,

I ship engines and trans every day. I usually spend 100-200. Have it sent to a commercial address with a way to unload it so you don t get hit with liftgate and residential fees. I would be happy to quote it throught my guys for you monday when i get to my yard.

I've had luck shipping through Fastenal's 3PL shipping. If there is a Fastenal local to you and the end customer it's worth a quote.
