That's my thoughts as well............Fuel , Trans & EGT
Guess you have your answer

The lift pump is cheap, but a diesel is a lean burn engine. If motor gets less fuel, it delivers less power. If the lift pump starts supplying less fuel to the fuel injection pump, then it needs to be replaced anyway

Just my opinion, as always, others vary

Your right!........I'm confusing lift pump (rather cheap) than the vp44 injection pump (not so cheap)

Just to let you know incase you don't see that. Even with a 650 hp built 24v. If you see any positive pressure between the lift pump and VP44 you will be fine. It doesn't have to be 10+. If you start seeing it a 6 just cruising start looking for a replacement. The stock lift pumps at a full pull would can drop very low

this is what I have seen also, as long as you are seeing some pressure and the vp doesn’t go to vacuum on the supply side you will be ok.

OK ....a few dumb questions,.....to wire the 3 gauges (fuel pres. trans temp & egt)......... does the transmission have (for lack of a better word) a sending portal that you wire to for the gauge setup?
I have a auto trans 47re..........How about the fuel pres. I have a Fass DRP ............and I wouldn't even know how to get the egt wired to the gauge ...........what more will I need besides the 3 gauges
and some wire to make all operational?

The trans sender comes with a bung (or at least mine did), drill a hole and braise it on the rear of the pan
EGT also comes with a bung, and can be installed before or after the turbo, before is better

They will come with sending units, and a probe. For fuel I drill and tap the end of the banjo bolt for the fuel supply into the vp pump, egt drill and tap the exhaust manifold (tons of pics and how to’s online) and for the trans I can’t remember if there’s a line pressure port you can use if you have an 1/8” sender. If not do as all dodge said.

For fuel there's a schrader valve near the pump or do the banjo bolt set up
exhaust I would definitely do before turbo. Drill and tap
trans pan is the easiest. There's a port plug in the trans. But I never used it
