Default New Truck Order

About to order a 2019 Platinun F350 4x4, 6.7, CC, LB, SRW.

Any reason anyone on here can give me not to?

Seems a sweet spot in the options range - LED Quadbeam lights, deployable running boards, heated rears, remote start, Ford PassConnect, etc. Only real options I'm looking at are the bedliner and supplemental heater option.

Eric, see my thread from a while back “done truck shopping”.

I took a 2017 F350 Platinum 4x4 CC SRW on a 24 hour test drive to see if I could overcome my hang up with the Ford’s terrible turning radius/diameter due to the lengthened wheel base on the new platform.

I was close to overcoming such, but after spending a good hour in the truck, the driver’s seat hurt my back. There are quite a few complaints about the seat build and comfort on the 2017+ Fords. I have considerable time in each of the previous generations back to 2000 and never that complaint. There are many things I like about the Ford, and really tried to convince myself I could love it. But the seat killed the deal.

I went with the full tilt loaded Ram, and I literally teem with excitement when I have an excuse to drive it. The dealer in Richmond includes a 10 year/200K miles powertrain warranty. I can link you up with the GM if you like. I shouldn’t post this, but the first number they came back with when we were negotiating was BELOW what I was willing to pay. I had to put on a poker face to finish negotiating.

Would recommend you wait for the new Rams, I purchased a new 19 1500 4x4 Longhorn with a lot of options and even though it is not a 2500 or 3500 I can not recommend this truck more. Love everything about it over the competition and if the 2500 or 3500 even come close to the redesigned 1500 then IMHO you can't go wrong. The ride, luxury, refinement, and safety are unmatched with the others. I LOVE MY RAM!!!!

Well, actually there is another.
“Dodge” doesn’t make trucks anymore.
FCA makes Ram Trucks.
My truck doesn’t say ‘Dodge’ on it anywhere.

Actually, I’m a big fan of the AISIN transmission I ordered mine with, which Ram didn’t make either.

2017 F350 Lariat Ultimate, 6.7, Crew, Longbed, SRW have had it a year. Our truck before was the same set-up but 2012 King Ranch. I saved a bit over King Ranch, Limited, etc with this truck but did not get led lights and power running boards. Have all the other options in the Ultimate pkg though, I installed my own led lights and used Forscan to customize my dash, toggle some options and added convenience buttons to the entertainment center. Had trouble out the gate with the electric tailgate, when I drove in the rain the tailgate would open by itself in the garage at night. Sometimes in a parking lot. It was the wire harness plugs for removing the tailgate filling with water. Dealer couldnt duplicate the problem, gobs of dilectric grease in the connector have solved it. Besides that, truck runs rides and tows better than the generation before. Buy what you like and fits the way you use it, really cant go wrong with the choices out there right now.
