I just watched the video announcing the power #'s and was hoping for a little more but I think when we trade next time we will get a 7.3 in 3 or 4 years.

Yeah I figured there would be a bit more power out of the 7.3L gasser. That seems very under-rated or limited. Interesting in a couple years to see what a good tuner can do to it. The EcoBoost is still more powerful.....

We should all give more credit to the Dodge V10, it was over 450 ft lbs at 2500 rpm 25 years ago....The ford 3 valve V10 wasn't far behind it either. I'm hoping they make some changes on the 7.3 in the first couple model years to get it up closer to 500 ft. lbs when we are ready to trade again.

I made the switch and haven't looked back. switched from ford to a dodge gas 6.4 hemi. pulls my 31 cigarette bullet just fine. lot nicer to drive around town. also cheaper all the way around to use.

What gears did you get in your dodge? I bet we are pulling similar weight.

Before this year I only towed and owned gas jobs. Chevy 2500 and F250. Towed home a 38’ in a new 19’ F250 I’ll admit the anti sway saved my life twice but I’ll take my 06 2500 Duramax all day long. I’m a firm believer in diesels now and this is after 6 years of gas job ownership. My only regret is not doing it sooner. Congrats on the new truck

3.73 its a little slow of the start but who yanks there stuff around anyways? it pull great actually. people always ask why I got a gas one and I just say I don't tow everyday or every week. get 15-17 mpg in town and 17-20 on the highway. 12 when towing on the highway at 65-70
