My question is a very basic one. Currently I have no trailer just a pier lift with bunks set to accommodate the stepped hull. If I look at purchasing a trailer online it's easy to find the proper length but how about the depth and location of the steps. Are the trailers adjustable or do I need a custom made trailer to support the boat properly? Does it
matter? Thanks!

For sure it matters, you dont want a stepped hull sitting on a flat bottom trailer for any length of time, what some do is add height to the bunks in the step area to support the boat properly, but I think most are custom built to to the boat or at least mine is,
