How does the trailer breaking jack knife the truck? That’d be terrible news to hear if that was your boat you were waiting on to get to Florida.

I can’t see how the trailer would’ve came apart like that under normal operation. There’s more to it but they probably don’t care to share. Could’ve been much worse. That monster CC does dwarf that trailer. I’ll take a well built AL trailer over a steel.

What damage was there to the boat

Glad to see this being shared, I been worried about the MYCO trailer I use for my 42 Lightning, while mine is not as bad as some of the failures I have seen before, the one posted here is what I worry about happening to me should the failure be some place other than the drive guard where mine currently is, lot of twisting and light cracking. Here is a link to the details: fb(dot)com(slash)trailertroubles. Good to know the sport chassis did well here too, about to get one of them, don't think the F450 I use would have done so well.

theres no way it just broke...throw the BS flag ! you can see the twist/bend on he tongue part. I'll take aluminum over steel any day...the steel ones I've seen totally rust out from the inside and look fine on the outside..

I’m sure we’ll never get the real story. It’s easier for whoever was driving to say “oh trailer broke” and then try and get trailer manufacturer to pay for damages as opposed to admitting possible “driver error” which would cost the company towing $$. Again the real fault we will probably never know although I tend to believe the error was human error whether it be being cutoff by another vehicle, having to suddenly stop for traffic etc. I guess it’s easier to just say “trailer broke”.......yeah clearly it broke after the series of events before which clearly put undue force, stress etc causing it to break.
