the front bowl wont pump fluid with the line to the prop valve disconnected and the bleeder kit installed
|
well I tried. does sound like a bad master. where did it come from? rare to get a bad one but not impossible. I deal with it every day and have gotten lots of stuff bad right out of the box. cant get good quality from any one any more.

got it fixed, the tiny little hole in the front bowl was plugged up, talked to the manufacturer in FL and they sent this

Good Video link - they have a few good vids to explain the how's and why's of brake bleeding troubles (ie, level of the car) in the Vette's
Definitely easier to watch once than continually bleeding and getting no where. |
Thanks for posting all this Speedy. :thumbs

Great that you got it figured out.

Getting closer, put some water in it and no leaks so far.

Tried to start is a couple weeks a go using started fluid to get some fuel from the tank to the carb, it cranked 3 or 4 times then it quit cranking, head scratch :faint2:......found the issue a couple days later, then no spark (fixed ) now its backfiring out the carb and tale pipe, one time it back fired out the carb by just turning the key on, then I walked away.....:sport009:dang thing just just about wore me out, I haven't messed with it, I need to check the rotor clocking but I think its close, hydraulic lifters could I have them to tight ?? about 3/4 turn down after 0 lash

Lifters should be ok at 3/4 turn, but I have always set them at 1/2 turn First confirm #1 TDC and check rotor Should be on #1, Make sure the Carb is not dripping fuel Float level Adj. Pretty sure you have check these things but a second look is always good and double ck cap to plug wire firing order. |
oh forgot, TI ign. can and will give you sleepless nights, ulcers, and drive you to drinking.
