Default Goodyear buys Cooper tires. This SUCKS!!!!

This is DEVASTING news.

There are two brands I have STRONG opinions on based on my own PERSONAL experiences.

I have had more Cooper Tires sets than I can count. I put them on literally everything I can. I currently have them on my 1977 Lincoln and 2018 Ram 3500. They would be on my F150 DD too, but they didn't carry the size I wanted at the time. (They do now, so I may change up.) The only issue I had with a Cooper, ever, was when a piece of metal sliced a sidewall, and I'd had the tires so long that they didn't offer an identical tire any longer!
Cooper Tires have been AWESOME for me for almost 20 years.

I have had a few sets of Goodyear tires, and they have been HORRIBLE. I'll never buy another Goodyear tire unless it's for a trailer where they have done well for me. I put Goodyears on a Tahoe years back, and took them back the next day. I put another set of Goodyear tires on my dually about 10 years ago, and they both had the same problem...
...like driving on wet spaghetti. You had to jack the tire pressures way up to get any type of stability and predictability.

Seriously, this focking sucks.

Cooper owns, brands, or labels Mastercrafts.
Those were absolutely the worst tires I have ever owned.
So I won't say that I have any love for Cooper myself after that, but...
Good Years are junk now for sure.
Lately been getting Hankooks and pleased.
Between me, wife, son, brother,, sister in law, nieces, and nephews... probably 10-12 sets in past 3 years or so.
All good

Coopers have been my go to tires for the last 10+years....love them! I may have to go get another set before things go south! sad to see it happen......they did say nothing will change for the near future while they merge things....we'll see
Never knew it but Coopers been making the Mickey Thompson brand as well!

I love me some Coopers. Ive always got the most miles out of my heavy trucks with the Coopers. Michelin second in line. Ive never cared too much for Goodyear. Looks like I need to buy a set of Coopers to have on stand by.

I just put a set of Cooper's on my F250 and love them, I am also not a fan of Goodyear, they ware like crap and sucked in the rain and snow. Hopefully Goodyear will leave the formula alone.
