I went a little over board on mine but being able to retract the bow stops makes launching a breeze on any launch.

I went ahead and removed the pivot stop and replaced it with a Smith roller assembly. I will also use a ratchet strap with a floating anchor to pull some slight rearward tension against the bow strap. I have not added the loops yet, but you can get the gist from the pic. Anything will be better than the that gelcoat bashing “thing” that was on there before.

We had a local welder build us a custom winch stand/bow catcher. Money well spent. No boat fits perfect to the bunks and bow stop. So anytime you can improve the fit, I think, helps the ride
