Default Maybe my 3rd fuel pump!!

I have a 2010 GMC 3500 van with a 6.0 and the 6 speed transmission. I bought the van in 2015 with 140k miles on it and I assume it was still running the original pump. It now has about 330k miles. I have put 2 fuel pumps in it and now I think I may be looking at my 3rd. This time is different than the other 2 times. The first time I was on the expressway and it just quit. The second time it was actually in my garage and wouldn't start. Now it is intermittently not starting normally. I usually hold the key for a second or 2 and it starts right up. You get a feel for it. Lately, I have turned the key for the amount of time and let it go but it didn't start. The "starter circuit" was engaged and it just kept on rolling over on the starter. Sometimes it starts but it is coughing and not happy then either takes off or dies. Couple times I just turned it off and then it would start normally after that. I have been trying to remember to just turn the key to on and make sure I hear the pump start up. Every time I do this it starts up normally. FYI, they all have been Delphi (OEM?) pumps. Is there a relay or something else that can possible cause this thing to eat pumps? I have a code reader but nothing is coming up. Maybe this time it's a different problem? Thanks for your help.

I'd attach a fuel press gauge and place it where it can be seen while you're in the driver's seat (if working alone). You should see fuel press rise to spec when key is turned to RUN position. Pump should run for a few seconds then shut off. Pressure should hold for a while. If that's good, attach a noid light to injectors to verify they are cycling while cranking.

Check cranking rpm when it's acting up, crank sensor is pretty common on those engines

Its not boat related so probably no one cares but I thought I would just close this thread out. It turns out, the main "Chassis Ground" wire eroded away. All that was left of it were the connectors at either end. No wire. I guess this isn't unusual in Michigan?

Had a similar issue years ago with 02 1500. Didn't hear fuel pump prime. Had it towed home, put in a new pump, same issue. Thought I got a bad replacement. Repeated the process, no luck. Towed to dealer and was told main harness was corroded and to replace correctly would cost $5k. Needless to say I parted ways with it.
