How to select the correct master cylinder

I have a 1990 25’ continental trailer, the identifying plates are worn and I can’t get any information off of it. My master cylinder needs to be replaced but I need help selecting the right master cylinder. The surge brakes don’t work anyways, should I just pull out the master cylinder and get it that way?

I have a 6 wheel Target trailer and was told it had Hydraulic brakes , when if arrived in the UK to my disappoint it didn't have any brakes and the damping system was removed along with all the brakes , The hitch move back and fourth about two inches and was dangerous but we were at the docks with the truck so took a chance and towed it home , boat and trailer got home unscathed . My Q is how do the EOH work what atevate s them , my rig is about 4600kg according to the dock ticket who shipped it . This trailer looks originally to the boat which is 1976 35ft cigarette narrow body race boat

You need to have an Electric Brake Controller in the tow vehicle.
This is a popular manufacturer: https://www.tekonsha.com/

This may also be an option: https://www.curtmfg.com/part/51180

If in the UK, better get UK brakes and axles and get it registered.

Buying new US parts does not make sense.

Don't need axles , and you can't buy trailer hitched and brake related parts above 3500 kg so it does make sense to buy heavey duty parts from the USA . And we don't need to register a trailer in uk . Plus I have USA made trailer so they have the parts that fit . Makes perfect sense.

Not sure what your use case and budget are, but there are O3 (3500-10000 kg) trailer builders. This one is local to me:

Tomahawk,

I'm not sure of the other makers, but I believe HydraStar has an offering for triple axle trailers. Order one, along with an electric brake control module that is compatible with your tow vehicle and all the various brake parts you didn't get with your trailer and do something similar to what I did or buy a bolt-on conversion hitch. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks. Brad.
