Originally posted by GotTheFever I've got a GMC 3500 Dually with the Duramax/Alison. Great truck, nice ride, and pulls like a beast. My neighbor just got a Ford 350. Nice truck, but in this day and age, I don't know why Ford still has manual locking front hubs on their HD trucks. Perhaps its an option I don't know about. It may make a difference if you drive in a lot of snow. |
Oh yeah... Dodge has a Cummins Engine...Not a Cummings. Cumming is when you... aw, never mind...

This is off subject a little, sorry to jump in on this thread, but what is going on with Crysler and Transmissions?
I had a Jeep Cherokee Limited V-8. They bought it back because they could not fix the transmission. Worked on it four times and then put a new one in it and it crapped out. My wife's coworker has a 2002 Intrepid in the shop as we speak getting a new transmission. My secretary just put the second transmission in a Dodge Carivan before Christmas $1700.00 and traded it the next day for a new Path Finder. I have always heard of the problems with the 3/4 ton and 1-ton trucks and Transmissions. Man, they need to wake up and smell the roses! At least if they cannot built a good one, get someone else to do it for them. That is what Chevy/GMC did! Thank You, and buy the way, I like Ford and Chevy! |
Tim, What the hell is that thing on the front for? Oh that's for those big A$$ florida bugs ain't it!!!? That there's a florida bug gaurd!!! ;)

To date, the Ford dealer has fixed a all of my issue's, and I had many. We have a great dealership over here, Henderson Ford. I have pulled many boats and trailers with this 6.0 dually, and when working the Ford is definatly the happiest, when unloaded and driving around my 2001, 187,000 mile Duramax is slightly more comfortable, better ride.
Gmc for 04 now has for power 310hp/590tq with the Allison combo Ford has 325hp/560tq Dodge has 305hp/555tq |
Dodge Cummins....the best.
