Ive been a GM man since 90, I still own a 2002 Duramax with 190k miles on it, and it runs like a top, love the Allison. I have a 04 Ford 350 dually and like this better for towing, and just ordered an Ford 05 CC short bed dually.

d-hlaw, Did you have to lift your Dodge so the 22.5 Alcoas would fit? Do you use a stock spare and two different size tools to change the adapter and wheel? Doug

G....I love ya like a step sister pal, but ya gotta do me a REAL big favor. Get the mods to edit you poll for me. If I've heard one redneck come in my store and say "Cummings" I've heard a million.

Oh yeah almost forgot....

When shopping for your truck look at the entire package. Cab size, transmission, tow capacity, resale, and so on. This should help somewhat.

GM's Duramax is awsome, recently hauled a 41 APACHE from NY to Ft. Luaderdale I love the motor and tranny combo, I have had a couple of them. Ask Parn about Fords he runs them. I recently had to haul a customers 41 off the toll road cause his 2005 Ford PSD with 2500 miles left him along side the road in florida, not to handy. Next year ford will have Cummins power according to my buddy with 2 dealerships, that will help. GLH you can call me if you want, I towed alot with my 2002 and my 2004 has the newest Duramax and it is even better. If you buy used buy a late 2002 and you will skip the injector problems. My buddy has a 2001 4x4 crwecab short box with 100,000 miles and she is still pulling awsome, he just came back from the keys. His injectors went out on him as we went to the Ozarks in 2003, we ran it with basiclly no oil pressure for the last 200 miles and dropped the boat in and the truck off at a dealership and they flushed the motor a couple of times, changed the 2 bad injectors, changed the oil one more time and she is running as sweet as new today. GLH hope the Tiger is doing well, I'll be down for the spring run, hope to see ya then. Steve
