This guy is about 20 miles from my house that puts the packages together. He said with a 2 in front leveling kit I can fit the 22.5s on my 2003 Dodge Dually CTD 4x4.

We own a few of each on the trucks and work them all to death...On our Dmax once it hit 80k we could'nt keep it together, still gets 20mpg but we only use it for light work and no towing. Personally I drive the Cummins(2500 CTD 600, 3500 CTD 555 Dually)but it is all a matter of personal preference. I have gotten as low as 10mpg pulling a 38' Cig(with almost full tanks ) up to 17mpg towing a 32' Skater that you did'nt even know was there.

Cummins is the best built motor in a light duty pickup by far, and I am partial to the old Ford 7.3

no, even with the additives its still too dirty and will cause problems down the road. been there done that, your up in farm country, big discounts on the fuel for farmers. thats the angle down here, ask around... stecz

I don't need to. I've got the Lariat package so mine came with a heater from the factory. Keeps the cab warm w/o needing to use heating oil and a fire to keep her warm. I don't know how you "Yanks" do it, but we tend to use a little common sense when we buy our trucks.

I think the poll says it all. I did a poll of my own while towing the AT to Florida and ended up with very similar results. I only counted trucks that were towing something.

Troutly is right about Ford putting in a Cummins......I really do not think it is going to happen. Not only would Dodge have an issue with it, the engine is one of the major differentiators for the light truck manufacturers. If both Ford and Dodge use the same engine it takes away one of their major differentiating features.

Now, using a Caterpillar diesel would be the way to go.

Sydwayz, Just for the record, Caterpillar sells more engines used in class 6-8 on-highway trucks than Cummins.
