Congrats on your new truck Craig.

Yep Jay got smart and moved up to a Chevy!!
Just curious (since you've had both), which truck did you like better and why?

I've got an '04 and an '02 and love 'em. The '02 is decidedly more fun as it's got all the goodies, both cosmetic and mechanical. Edge Juice/Attitude is the only way to go on these trucks.
That generator, as I found out later, scales out around 16,500 lbs. Now I'm feeling pretty good about the Top Gun or Cafe Racer plan as it pulled like it wasn't there.

So, the idea of our 47' beast getting tossed on the road, did sit too well with either of us. Anyway, Bill has always liked the Fords better and the '97 F350 pulled everything he ever needed (including the Fountain...to the ramp).
Can't wait for summer....see you on the water.

Yea, there's a couple horror stories of the GM hitch itself failing, but not the frame ever that I've heard of on all the truck forums.
That's why I skipped it on the order and put a real hitch on.
You can't trust either one of them to get everything right (see transmission failures and front end vibration problems on the Ford) both much more common than hitch failures on the GM.

that truck is punk... good luck with that junk box, your gonna need it. lets make a bet. steak dinner says you have it in for a problem before i do mine. i have 12,000 on a 04 built in june and two oil changes. i give you the handicap. we will be truthful about it, not like you are about the speeds of your rig. besides our bet good luck with it, at least your pulling a fat rig... your buddy stecz
Still waitin' Pal!!!
