Default dually trucks as daily drivers

I am looking at a f-350 dually with the short bed. It will be my daily driver truck and looking for feedback on those who use a dually as a everyday truck. How is it to ride, park, menuever, etc...

My dually is an 01 GMC 8.1 . bought it used w/ 30k miles in May of 03, I now have 90k on it, yep almost 30k miles a year, I love it!!! lowered it and hit 100mph every day. I dont go to drive throughs any more, which is cool, didnt need fast food anyhow. I park a little further out as it's easier to manuver, but no one opens their door into it. get it, drive it, have fun!

I have a Dodge that I drive to work, to the store and everywhere!! I am a lawyer and in parking lots full of lexus, Porsches and BMW's my truck is easy to find!!! Besides, when the weekend comes and the same attorneys are out in their 17 foot fishing boats I give them a 100mph pass in the Cig!! Rather be in a big boat than a smal sports car!!!

I have driven a crew cab long box dually as a daily driver for the last 6 years and I love it. It can be a little cumbersome in parking lots at first but you get used to it and I can put it in any compact spot I want now the whole key is backing in and getting comfortable with youre mirrors as long as youre not an Asian female you should be okay.

Yep, THE key to parking is to either back in or pull through two spots like you backed in. Joe Murray

Parking is the only real issue, but not a big deal. Gas is the only thing that sucks. Makes you want to ride the bike to work.

Daily driver 50K a year and I love it! One of my accounts is a large Wal-Mart type chain I like to pull up next to the shopping cart corral when possible. This way I take two spots up and one side will not have door dents

I have been driving a F350 Crew long bed 4x4 for three years now. Just order a new one. Like everyone else said it is easiest to back in, rides a little stiff with no weight but you get used to it, nothing to bad, or at least I don't think so. Have a friend that does it too, even both our girls don't mind driving them. Though we are worried about losing a fender, but they do it on times and don't even complain. So either we have good girls or it really isn't that bad......

There is NO better looking truck than a Dodge 3500 dually.

Specially with the tall Rickson's or Alcoa's.
