Hyper1 the 39 ran 114mph with 700's, what are the other boats with 700's running? I think that speaks for itself. As far as the paint is concerned, the detail work on the Lord of The Wings boat is unreal and it was a made to order boat. Its more than I would want but it is an awesome paint job, congrats to the new owner.

Here's a bit of info for ya. The 39 ran 114 on gps and was touching the rev limiter and also tossed a new hearring prop on thet run in speaking to both Steve and Dave they feel with a bit more prop it will run 116 maybe a touch more.

yea and i wonder what a 42 fountain runs with the 700 or even the 38 which is a smaller boat then the 39 velocity. 114 is off the hook for this boat. Also what velocity Mark said about he 41 the work in that paint job is awsome and unless you see it in person it is hard to see how nice the paint is

First off I did not say anything about the Dragon,I think it looks pretty cool and when I talk about big power I mean like a pair of Sterling 1500s and #6 drives not a pair of 700s in this case 114 MPH is impressive but what will it really run with big power in it.

you know i would like to see that to but the 700 hp is real world and something that you can compare other boats with.

I have a friend with a 42 Lightning with 1075's that ran 136 and thought the boat wasn't meant for those motors. Prop blowout was an issue and so was 42 feet of boat running 130+. A 38 TG TS is supposedly a scarey ride at speed as well and it runs in the 120's.

Remember it is not how fast your boat goes but rather how well your boat goes fast!

I have seen 2 of the 38 lightnings from the factory with the GPS recall at 111 on one and 112 on the other. I think they have had one or two that have been around 115, but not ones that I have seen. Check the recall GPS. The Velocity at the boat show had the GPS turned on and it read 114

The Dragon boat was special ordered by a good friend of mine. If you knew the business he is in the paint scheme makes sense.

HOT

He wanted a 38 + foot boat, plenty of head room in the cuddy and a generator, that would still run over 80 MPH with stock 525's.

I am not a big Velocity fan, but like I told him last year when he was ordering it "I think he chose a good boat that meets all his needs, and got a lot for his money".

If it is your money, buy what you want, power it the way you want, and paint it the way you want. We have way too many people bashing everyone else's boat. Believe me as a Baja owner I fully understand that.

He is now an official "Mexican" and a member of the Baja, Ve-Low-City owners club. That is what he just told me when I answered the phone, so if anyone gets offended take it up with the new Velocity guy.

Can we all say "TACO"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Attn. Steve Teeter:

The owner of this beautiful boat just called me and invited us to do two poker runs.

If must be hard for you to understand how I "Dock Holiday" can have a friend, that in no way ranks up with anyone you have ever met, but who now owns a Velocity.

Sorry, if we do a poker run I promise to not be seen in any pictures, nor be in any magazines or DVD's. I give my word I will not make any post either, we sure as HELL don't want to offend you "Oh Great One"!

The world has fallen off it's axis and no longer revolves around me!

You still want me to lower myself to your level?
