Thanks again for all the gret info. But of course I have a few more.
1. Can anyone give me a ballpark estimate of what it would cost for a transom rebuild just so i know how much to adjust my asking price ?

2. The ad posted says it has a 500hp 502 Merc and its original with 300 hrs. Does anyone have experience with this motor(good/bad) or know where I can find some specs. When I google it I get a bunch of results ...to many to make any sense.

The Mercury engine in that boat that you referenced is a good and very reliable package. As far as the transom est.it would be in the 3500.00 range for a single engine set up.The main thing is get a survey done and then make your decision after that. You will love the boat if you purchase it and you will have alot of fun with it and you will piss off some other brand owners because boat for boat and power and size it will out perform all other brands hands down.Good luck.

I think the 502 MPI is only 415 hp.
