I've heard of only one Max Machine installation on a twin ~ 800 HP 390 and it didn't hold up at all.

The best advice is to talk to other 280 owners running big horsepower - find out what they've tried and perhaps what they'd like to try and take it from there. I don't think there is a clear cut winner in the Bravo after market but Imco offers a very complete system with an optional HD gimbel assembly. Be prepared - you'll always be finding a new and latest "weakest link" in your drive train!

Good luck!
