I'm thinking that Sick Stinger, aka Loose Cannon, will be looking for a piece of that Outerlimits.

A piece?...It's for sale, He can have the whole thing!

We'll slow down and regroup if someone falls behind so they didn't get lost in unfamilar waters. It's a long 2 day cruise and you really need to preserve your equipment as it's a long way back on one engine or under tow. Safety is absolutely paramount so everyone needs to act mature and keep the egos in check. There are plenty of other Poker Runs and indeed races out there if running hard and being first is what you really want. The Velocity Fest cruise has a different purpose which is mostly social, meeting fellow owners and getting together after the boats are tied up for the night.

Sounds like a great event. Can't wait to meet fellow velocity owners....:cool-smiley-027:

Welcome to the Circus Bro! I already opted out of the "Last one to the dock" game! I went over to give our ol' cuz a hand tonight in hopes of driving the BIG boat!! :evilb: If that doesn't pan out I will gladly pilot yours!

We will need a good water forecast from Thong Fellow before I give up on the 22 though. I'll have the tabs on it by then I hope!!

ThruHull 03-05-2008 09:19 PM

After reading this thread, I have to ask.......would one still be required to buy all of the beer if they were the last one because they were being towed in??? :hitfan:

Sick Stinger 03-06-2008 06:04 AM

Last is Last no matter how you look at it towed in or just drivin in

Brian, you know i'd be more than happy for you to ride with me. But....I don't think my ride would be appropriate for V-Fest. Its gonna be a couple of years before i am able to get into another go-fast.

WOW....talk about a disfunctional family!

Put the fangs away. "can't we all just get along"

boating 101: There's always someone faster.

I'm with the Philadelphia State police so there can't be any gambling. Everyone buys there own non-alcohlic beverages at waterman's.

Links and RE, I know your lurking here cause this is some funny ch_t. It always seems to come full circle back to talkin smack.

Sick relax and take all this for what it is....a little ball bustin.

I'm changin my name to the Piece Keeper.

PS Sick I hope your throttle hand is smooth cause 900hp thru a bravo is gonna be brittle. Ask RE and Hypper that huffer motor tourqe will blow the floor out of the upper. Good luck and keep her in the water.

:chill-pill:

Vicious22 03-06-2008 07:45 AM

TF Chris can ride with me and you can ride with Bill:D:D

Vicious22 03-06-2008 07:46 AM

You had to go and tell him that didn't you, I was thinking of talking him into a marathon deal, now he'll only want to do a 50' sprint. :D

Sick Stinger 03-06-2008 11:45 AM

All i know is that Hypers boat runs like a Horse that just got branded. I probably wont keep up, even close, but ill sure as hell try. I say the more the merrier. Thats why I am always letting everyone know about the 1st run of year to block. I hope for a good turn out. Same for V Fest hope to see everyone there. Even though after this thread so may not see me suitable for being there :boat:

My thoughts go out to your dad, I have had many memorable conversations with him!! You never know what tomorrow will bring, Just as I was about to give up on Mom she turned 180 and is now out of the home and doing extremely well, May even get her on the boat, Tell Darrell I said hi and God Bless!!! That runnin up front stuff is some funny chit!!:D

You just figure that out all by yourself. :eureka: Good for you!!!

Here's a little more info for you, I owned Bill's / Hyper's boat for seven years, sold it to Bill a few years back and took his 28 in trade on the 32, then sold the 28 to Steve / Vicious22. It's a real small world ain't it. :D

One more tip, you really do want to start to stock up on Bravo parts, a few spare drives would be a capital idea.

I will actually agree with you Ragged.

Instead of carrying a spare prop, he needs to carry a spare outdrive (or two!)

Thats OK!! When you've been doing this for as long as some of us have you get the real picture! Boating is about having a good time and we (those who have boats) are very lucky to have this pleasure, At least thats how I feel!! Having something trick and fast is just a plus as long as we dont let it go to are head, If at the end of the day we still have a smile on our face as well as our crew then we have all won Period!!

Sick Stinger 03-06-2008 12:05 PM

Thanks Rag here is a few Tid bits of info for you. 1. already knew about the "used to be your boat". 2. Already knew about blowing the bravo. How about just getting a Max tower for it of just puts a Max Machine drive. So a few steps ahead thanks. but still good luck on your driving skills. If yous as much of a drive as you are a keyboard jokey you'd be able to beat Steve STepp him self or even Kramer in the Apache with your Beak bounty.

Lets play the (Hey I broke "Another" Bravo game)......No Thanks!!:cool-smiley-011:

Sick Stinger 03-06-2008 12:08 PM

I have been doing this for a long time. For about 14 years now. Had my own boat for about 11 out of the 14. I do find it a great gift to able to do it and its a pleasure that mosy do get to have. I invite everyone and anyone on my boat just to give them the chance. I will never back down i may never be the fastest or flashiest but i will always try my hardest to be out front with the big guys and will do it SAFE and FUN.
-Mike

Sick Stinger 03-06-2008 12:10 PM

Ill play why not. But what if its not a bravo can i not play anymore. Id just go with a Max drive.
-Mike

DKerns 03-06-2008 12:23 PM

HEY BILL, HERE COMES THE SOAP BOX AGAIN!!!!!!!

Sick, not trying to bust your stones, but before V Fest last year you were having concerns about the "ill" handling of your boat. You wanted to bring it down to V Fest and get some tips and pointers on driving it. They are "Drivers" boats, they require seat time. Atleast that is what I read!!

Now you have increased th HP level by quite a bit without gaining anymore seat time, and you are calling people out?!?! You also wanted to sell the V and go to a Pantera because of the the way it rides in the rough!! Now you sound like you yourself would like to take old "Warpath" out and put a spanking on them???

You also wanted to go to a 27 Fountain????

I am not being rude here, but why can't we just settle down a little. I personally feel the more Velocities that attend the better so why can't we make it on good terms. And no, the "Loose Cannon" comment was not totally directed at you! It could be anyone. I will not jeopordize the safety of myself,my crew, or fellow boaters to 'Impress" anyone. I would prefer to be with others that have the same mentality.

HEY BILL I'M STEPPING DOWN AGAIN!!!!:evilb::hitfan:
