ThruHull 02-14-2008 08:38 AM

Hemi, that is a nice looking boat. What kind of speeds are you seeing?

VelocityRick 02-14-2008 12:39 PM

Frank's 280 hull is very fast.

ThruHull 02-14-2008 12:44 PM

Yeah, I had him in mind when I started this thread. Alot of times the good boats never hit the "market" before they are sold.

Very nice looking boat. I like the Trck steering wheel. That may be a collectors item someday. :D

How does your boat run with that power?

Any photos of the swim platform? I bet that looks real good. Much more up to date than the standard platform.

Hemi Truck 02-15-2008 07:11 AM

Thru Hull, thanks the fastest I've seen so far is 81.2 on GPS, but will constantly run 78-79.

Sox, I realy like the way the boat runs with the power (about the perfect amount for this hull) I don't realy have any pictures of the swim platform but yes it does help it look up to date.

Thanks
P.D.

I have seen it on the upper Chesapeake but I don't have any personal info. I thought the owner was a member here.

I see it has a Spyder Prep sticker on the transom......:party-smiley-004:

It has been for sale for a while now, which makes me wonder because it seems to be priced right. Is that spyder prep a good thing??

Vicious22 02-26-2008 06:46 PM

Sox where have you been?

Nice looking boat Nash, what speeds are you getting out of it?

nashpda 02-28-2008 06:36 PM

Thanks Thru Hull, getting around 70. having a little problem with fuel delivery at the moment. Thought it was the pump but have ruled that out. Have been told to remove the spring loaded check valve from the tank. Going to thy that as soon as it warms up. Too cold to mess with it right now!

ThruHull 02-28-2008 06:50 PM

I hear ya, summer can't come fast enough. Let us know what it turns out to be or if you need help troubleshooting.

Thanks Stinger, hoping that solves the issues. Glad to hear people who have done it an worked

Sick Stinger 03-01-2008 10:56 AM

Nash like a char i must say. Pretty much a simple problem doesnt alow enough flow/volume for the engine to run optimal so taking out that restriction allows the fuel to flow freely (kinda out right plain in saying i know). But the one thing i noticed if you have you fuel pump higher then the tank it will lose prime over a half hour period or so happen to me untill i dropped it to the bottome of my bilge. No im speaking from an eletric pump point of view and it may be just a rarity case
