Default New Style Velocity 280 Windscreen

Has anybody installed one of the new style windscreens that sits on top of the rail instead of screwing to the side on a velocity? It has two fiberglass pieces that attach to the top of the rail and then the windscreen screws to that. Kenny has said he will install it, but we are trying to save a trip to Florida. Thanks in advance.

Tosh, is there any way you can screw the windshield to the adpater, then set that on the boat and screw the adapter down?

Is that the windshield like on the newer 41's? Like this one http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o21712-en.html

It is exactly like that one. The problem with attaching it first is trying to guess where to attach it to . Kenny said to set the windscreen on the rail and use a wax pencil to mark it then install the rails on the marks. That doesn't seem to be working so good. We had to notch the fiberglass pieces out so they would go around the instument pods, but it is still like they weren't even made for the boat. This thing has me scratching my head!

Why don't you just buy that 41' and your problems will be solved?

I like to move up slowly, I am not sure I could even dock that

I would have a much better chance of docking it than I would making the notes.
