Thanks D, it reminds me a little of a co-cart with to much power. Like the cart I built in the early 70's we put a 350 honda motorcycle engine in it, crazy!!

I can see it's going to take some practice, Sometimes I just have to shut it down and start over...I need to change my trim pumps to K-plane pumps I think?. These are so fast with the longer 380 plates any more than a touch of the switch and your doing tripple toe loops on a trampoline. It's almost unsafe. I may even try the 280's again and see. I took my flush kit off the sea strainers and plugged them today to see if it was leaking sucking air, for some reason I am not getting a whole lot of water pressure since the rebuild. Looked at the impellors, they looked good, I pulled the water pressure gauge line off and the gauges are working with pressure applied. Last trip out we had 10 psi cruising 60 then later in the day it read just above 0 psi. When I ran it hard for a distance the temp was around 180 and 140 while cruising. The Sportmasters have the lower water pickups. We installed pressure relief valves on the strainers because I was thinking I would have a lot of water pressure. Any thoughts besides external pickups?

You can slow the pump speed down, did it on mine/Hypers.

Two ways ............. Change out fluid for heavier weight, old racer trick. Or, my method, reduce size of orafice comming out of the pump. Easily done with a couple brass fittings and some Holley jets. Beauty of the jet deal is you can adjust the pump speed!

Remember what I told you! Know your tab setting, set it around 70 - 80, don't F' with it at higher speeds. It will bite you! From there up trim only. Mark the tab indicator for neutral, run it up to speed, slow down, change it, then go back up until you find the right setting.

One other thing you could do is to get rid of the chitty little steering helm the factory uses. I had a 125 cc helm in mine, much quicker reaction, makes it far easier to stay on top of the chine walking at speed.

You could fly Hyper down to Oakleyhomer to learn ya how to fly it, I hear he crushes big Fountains in any size water! :D

I'll try the Ragged reduction method. Like I said about the school, nothing will replace seat time....Thanks. Did you reduce at the pump or at the Planes
