He wont show up,because he will be upset to get his arse handed to him by his old boat.:pSorry Peteeeeeeeeee.Hey speaking of racing why is Dave getting out of boat racing already.
Bill, I owned the thing and I know how it runs, had a lot of fun with it but it was time to move on. I was happy with the first Fountain, I'm happier with this one, and if I'm lucky I'll be even happier with the next one. That said...............Dave is only the throttle man, Doug is the owner, and apparently Doug has decided to get out. Were I in Dougs shoes, I'd likely be making the same decision. My understanding is that it was something he wanted to try and at this point it's sort of a "been there, done that" thing for him so he would like to get out. |

I do not need pictures of the speedo,I should post pictures of the transom because that is all you will see.:p PS There are alot more things done than you think
Bill I have no clue what you may or may not have done. Share a little here, what did you settle on for props? What RPM do you turn them? How fast is the boat now? I don't think it's a breach of national security to post some honest numbers on a perf boat. I would love to know how much you have improved the set up, as they say "It's a poor day that you can't learn something". If you have made it over 100 MPH I'm happy for you, it's just a simple question. |

I heard on Opra that the mail pen!s is huge compared to the pen!s / size ratio of all the other animals. My question is "what does this say about the women folk out there?" I been there when it felt like I opened french doors and tried to screw the world. Then you buy them a kagel muscle work out video and they get all offended and stuff.

I can start with this,a dry transom,Imco extreme sc drives, shorties, carbs,x Dimension changed Blue printed bottom as well as a few other things.I spin 15.5 Mercury 4 blade 34s at aprox 5800,to 6200 RPM depending on the air and if I am spinning them in or out,In is faster and out much more stable in all water conditions. The tattle tale is over 100 but I dont want to let the cat out of the bag as I still can add more booste if required.:p So when you bringing down the Fountain.
It would seem that you must be waaaaaaaay over 100 based on the formula. Figures like this......... 6200 RPM divided by 1.50 gears, multiplied by 34" pitch, divided by 1056 equals a Theoretical Speed of 133.08 mph. Input slip factor @ 6% and you're at 125.09 mph Input slip factor @ 10% and you're at 119.77 mph Input slip factor @ 12% and you're at 117.11 mph That's smokin' Bill. And here I thought it was a simple enough question to get a straight answer to. |
