Would love to Bill, but the Biotch is all winterized and headed to a buddys shop for some paint tweaking possibly this weekend if he gets the shop work caught up. Besides, you wouldn't want a Fountain to ruin you last ride of the year. :D

Come on now Bill, it might be a little shy but it's real. Where are the GPS shots of the 100+ you claim to run now? Really? I owned it for quite a while and it's a strong running boat, I know you made some mods/improvements and all, so where are the pics of the big numbers?

P.S. The comment about ruining your last ride was not in refference to spanking your arse. Just figure you guys hate the beak boats so much it would ruin your day if one showed up at your parade.

Don't under estimate the 22's. I know I have said it before but........ The most memorable ride of my life was in a 22 with a "little" weedwacker on the back "spankin" a few Fountains out of Trenton Marine going down the Elk River in 2-3 footers!!

But, like always you are right!! You win!

I wonder if Royal Purple synthetic might have more staying power? What would an oil mans opinion be?

And I know they all love me here, just have trouble expressing it. Must be one of those Velocity Guy things.

Take it easy now, the 22 is a real fun boat. I've been on the north side of 100 in one years ago and it did just fine. Just not something to try in big water.

There is an old saying ........Once I thought I was wrong, But I was mistaken!

Believe it or not the best stuff is monkey and elephant come. You can take a hole that is tighter than a bull's ass on fight night. :eek:Take you a 100 barrels of that stuff pumper down the hole and it will make it slicker than two eels fuockin' in a bucket of snot. :hitfan:You'll find youself out of the hole quicker than a fifth grade recess.:p

Bill, I owned the thing and I know how it runs, had a lot of fun with it but it was time to move on. I was happy with the first Fountain, I'm happier with this one, and if I'm lucky I'll be even happier with the next one.

That said...............Dave is only the throttle man, Doug is the owner, and apparently Doug has decided to get out. Were I in Dougs shoes, I'd likely be making the same decision. My understanding is that it was something he wanted to try and at this point it's sort of a "been there, done that" thing for him so he would like to get out.

Bill I have no clue what you may or may not have done. Share a little here, what did you settle on for props? What RPM do you turn them? How fast is the boat now? I don't think it's a breach of national security to post some honest numbers on a perf boat. I would love to know how much you have improved the set up, as they say "It's a poor day that you can't learn something". If you have made it over 100 MPH I'm happy for you, it's just a simple question.

I can start with this,a dry transom,Imco extreme sc drives, shorties, carbs,x Dimension changed Blue printed bottom as well as a few other things.I spin 15.5 Mercury 4 blade 34s at aprox 5800,to 6200 RPM depending on the air and if I am spinning them in or out,In is faster and out much more stable in all water conditions. The tattle tale is over 100 but I dont want to let the cat out of the bag as I still can add more booste if required.:p So when you bringing down the Fountain.

Bill how far below the boat is the prop on your extremes.

I heard on Opra that the mail pen!s is huge compared to the pen!s / size ratio of all the other animals. My question is "what does this say about the women folk out there?" I been there when it felt like I opened french doors and tried to screw the world. Then you buy them a kagel muscle work out video and they get all offended and stuff.

It would seem that you must be waaaaaaaay over 100 based on the formula. Figures like this.........

6200 RPM divided by 1.50 gears, multiplied by 34" pitch, divided by 1056 equals a Theoretical Speed of 133.08 mph.

Input slip factor @ 6% and you're at 125.09 mph
Input slip factor @ 10% and you're at 119.77 mph
Input slip factor @ 12% and you're at 117.11 mph

That's smokin' Bill. And here I thought it was a simple enough question to get a straight answer to.

That is what it is,only I wish that those numbers you posted were for me.You have to take into consideration that the props are thinned and hammered, also that with such a short pad I am still playing with the tabs at all speeds so instead of using your inflated Fountain numbers:pI would think that the real speeds are a little slower because they are. When I bought the boat from you it was turning 15.5 30 hydros spinning in and the boat would run94 to 96 MPH if I remember correctly so with all of the things done and money spent why do you feel that the boat can not run bigger numbers than when you had it,is it because it is not a Fountain with steps or what.I picked up MPH after buying the boat with carb repairs and prop change.I Pulled my prop sheet from Throttle up and the blades are 32.5 pitch and Labbed, also the blade surface thinned,so that should help a little with your calculations.Do not forget to keep in mind the tabs. Also keep in mind that the drives that are on the boat carry the boat better than the Bravos did, longer and much more efficient.
