Cabin fever just bought one but I don't think he's had it out much yet, he will probably get on here and let you know.

I have run one (280) for 10 years. inland waters and two Great Lakes. Have run in smooth and nasty Great Lakes water. Never missed having tabs. Learn how to drive it and if you still feel the need.... add the tabs later. Nice winter project.

I like having tabs but I would not keep the lack of them keep me from buying a boat.
A 280 comes out of the water easily even with a heavy load and rides pretty flat even when trimmed up.

Only got 2 hrs on mine, and the water was flat, so I didn't need tabs at all.

The seller told me, he never missed having em.

Hopefully i can get out this weekend, and play around a little.

Finally got some seat time.

The lake was pretty rough (for us) 2-3ft waves. 30ph wind

The boat ate it up. I was able to run pretty much WOT throttle threw it. Chine walked towards the top end, and I chickened out, and backed out. The faster I ran, the better it rode.

I really like this boat.
