Did you talk to your attorney about adding something into the claim for not having a boat for an entire summer? You should, and it may be worth it. Remember, you pay them to ensure that you have a boat, you didn't have boat for an entire summer because of their negligence in fulfilling your claim. I know that I would be livid and pursuing it in that manner if it were me.
I too would never deal with Markel after reading this nightmare.

Markel finally sent me a check last week after about 6 months , but I am not a happy customer !!!!!! :lolhit::angry-smiley-038::bsflag:

What did you have teh boat insured for and how much less than that did you get a check for? You dont have to give exact numbers.
It is a shame to hear about that from such a big company. I am with American Reliable adn couldnt be happier with their claim procedures.
