That boat is nice but WAAAAAAAAY over priced. You have to remember that it has big power with Bravo drives. It is a drive eater.

That boat hasn't left the same spot since it was traded. It's perfect and only has a season or two on it. The previous owner only ran it at Raystown Lake. I don't even think it's seen big water.

Velocity Tom 09-25-2010 11:35 AM

That boat was set up at lake x with the stock power. Mike from hulls did the work. I think it had 575s.

1HYPER1 09-26-2010 11:05 PM

You can say what you want,it is a Bravo style boat,it saw big water on the Chesapeake Bay with 575s in it and then had big power put in it and went to Raystown lake and ran around on a pond and broke alot of parts and then the owner traded it in on a 47 Fountain,1550 STERLINGS and # 6 drives so the broken part factor went away.It is a beutiful boat do not get me wrong, just way over priced and Tom Jr at Duckys needs to get a reality check. He thinks his Sh*t does not stink.

Bill, You don't have to buy the power..............lol However, It's only worth what the bank will lend you. Average NADA value is 107,000 with a pair of 500hp's and not including the trailer.

1HYPER1 09-27-2010 07:33 AM

Hey tricky Rick, where have you been all summer with the Pantera. How are you making out.

boy, you really look at things in an interesting way. Tom jr is a good sales person and would do anything to help his customers. by the way... here is a 390 with over three hundred hours with plain 502's and doesn't have the 45 thousand dollar paint job the boat at ducky's has. is this guy ignorant too ?

Who owns the "Tiger" 42 Tiger now?
That boat was originally owned by Harry Judge, who has since left us way to early. He sold it to Fred Cecil before he passed, but this is the first pics I have seen of that boat since Trick's demise.

It's a spectacular boat.

Brian, It's my friends boat. I don't think it's the same boat. He has owned this boat for about 6 years now.

I've only known of that one. If it has #III drives and dry exhaust with a light tan cockpit interior; I think it's the same boat.

His has all white interior, Exhaust is dry back to just before the tips. Not sure of the drives. Either 3's or 6's.

I talked to Tom tonight and he will put whatever power you want in it. I know that; when I bought my Pantera; Tom and I made a deal that we both benefited from. Velocity was traded, motor & drive from the Velocity were installed in the Pantera. They worked on my boat in the middle of winter to get it ready.
When I took delivery it was turn-key all gages worked 100%.

Tom's is one of the nicest people I've met. Every time I stop by he always has time to talk and show me what he has on his site. Even if I can't afford a 39' Velocity I might know someone who can. That's a good salesman.

Bill is right about the 2002. There have been much newer and nicer 39's and 41's sold for around $130K. Clearly the owner really doesn't want to sell it. The 2000 390 won't move at that price either. I'm glad that Ducky's has cleaned up their business practices.

Hey BLACKCAT083,I have had dealings that were not good and that is that.I think it is great that they have apparrently changed there ways for the better but when you get burned you are a fool to put your hand back in the fire. But in reguards to there 390,it is just priced to high.

notda1 09-28-2010 02:40 PM

Both boats have been for sale at or around that price for a long time . The market today has a lot to look at in those price ranges . Many of the boats that sell are at major price reductions . The 390 with big motors and Bravo drives is a bad combination in my view . Ask Velocity Tom or Velocity Vector what selling their boats was like . You can list them for any number you want . On those if you want to sell them , knock off 40% and they will go away .

It doesn't have Bravo's It has IMCO's.

notda1 09-28-2010 11:12 PM

I've seen it to many times , big motors breaking drives . It might work on a lake ? After you have to come a long way home on one motor and get to buy a few drives ? it kinda takes the fun out of boating real fast . That Velocity claims to have over 800hp , your stacking the deck against yourself from the start . You will have to baby it and hold your breath anytime you go out . Boats like that will have a hard time being reliable . It would be neat for a little while , till it breaks !!!!

1HYPER1 09-29-2010 10:38 AM

Hey Ray I hear you are looking for a Skater possibly,I know where a 40 is in Florida that you can probably get cheep if it is still there.Let me know if you are interested and I will see if it is still there,I would like to buy it but I am concentrating on buisness more than anything at this time, let me know.
Bill

notda1 09-29-2010 05:27 PM

Getting ready to put in offers on 2 different 41 Velocity's first . One has 900's and 3a's and the other is an x-race w/600's and 6's . If they turn me down , I have a couple older 40 Skater's I am looking at . Would rather a 36' but that is still a little out of reach . I told my wife a Skater might just be what I need to cure my sickness . When I can afford it Steve will be building me a new Velocity that caters to my insanity. Gives me a goal to keep working toward .

kewler 09-29-2010 08:32 PM

hey ray a little birdie told me he saw something that had a wide load banner on the back of it in front of your house whats up are we going for a ride this week end :drink:

I was just about ot get over the shell shock of selling my 320 till I read this. Thanks Ray you are always trying to help a buddy out. I did sell it to a nice guy that will take care of at least. We all know it's not about the money we spend on our penis extensions, "That's what my wife calls a powerboat" it's about all the fellowship we have while we are doing it. The memory's and stories we have, no one can take those away. The drive we all have to get that little extra out of each one of our boats keeps us going. I have driven across town to save 1cent on a gallion of gas but when the guy say's, K.C. "That part for the boat in black is $10,000.00". I ask, "How much is it chromed". I have learned one thing since I have been boating. I keep getting older and the chicks stay the same age.

notda1 09-30-2010 08:35 PM

Hey KC , you and I both know a boat is an expense , not an investment . Hope that post about your sale was alright , seemed like a good example how tough the market is . I am just into having the most fun I can with the time I have , I am not getting any younger . Sorry I missed you on my way back this year . My uncle got sick and had to cut my trip short . When I roll through next year I'll be hoping for a ride in that new cat . This is the first season for me without a boat in a long time . I will be on the water again next year , just not sure in what yet . And I don't want to know what I spend on boating , Heck if I did I'd probably quit !!!!!!!!!!

Velocity Vector 10-01-2010 08:41 PM

I was just picken on you Ray, selling a boat sucks now but buying one is great. I can't wait to here what you choose, I'm leaning for the Cat for you just my 2 cents

1HYPER1 10-05-2010 08:53 PM

Hey blackcat083,just to back up what was previously posted, the boat is now posted as only having 18hrs on the hull, that is crap I was and spent almost that much time on and around the boat with the origional owner who is a buddy of mine,so what I mean is the truth is not always being spoken by a certain someone.

notda1 11-13-2010 11:38 AM

asking what people on here think a good deal is on this boat for a buyer in today's market , what would you offer and what should it sell for , opinions welcome and encouraged

For the record , I put in what I thought was a fair offer on this boat through their web site . Never got any call back at all !!! They could have counter offered our try to talk me up , no response . The ad says bring offers , wonder if they get a lot of them ? Yeah , so many they must have been to busy to call or email . I could have swaped the drives and had a good time with her . :party-smiley-004:

notda1 02-01-2012 05:33 PM

same ad and still sitting ............

notda1 02-13-2012 09:11 PM

news flash , reduced to 108k

mikezimmer 09-21-2012 09:18 PM

without power...

notda1 09-22-2012 10:21 PM

108k was the complete advertised price with trailer on Fl Craigs list back in Febuary , still more than I had offered them for it at one point . :cool-smiley-011:

mikezimmer 09-23-2012 09:13 AM

What about the 390 advertise at yatchauction MD? 1999,
