Our experience with Velocity was over the top. Kenny Hohwiesner provided a level of customer service that I thought didnt exist anymore. Kenny is driven from the heart with his love of boating. An amazing individual with exceptional attention to detail. Kenny typically does the work of three people.....a very high level of energy.
Kenny convinced me to upgrade to the HP525.....I am glad that I did. His assistance through the whole design process was invaluable.
Congratulations!!! Your boat looks very nice from what I can see. I have a 525 also and really like it, although I want more! Thanks for telling us about the mysterious 290SC at the show

And oh yeah, 85mph is really booking for your combination!

Default Send some pictures / Prop Talk / Motor Talk

Thanks....Send some pictures of your boat. Our x dimension is 18.5.....What is yours?......Also what are you running for a prop?......We dis extensive prop testing which may or may not be helpful to you. Have you considered the new Mercury Racing HP565?....

We live on a lake in upstate NY (21Miles X 7 Miles)...The boat is kept on a lift during the summer making it easy to test props and hold some fun parties.

Congrats on the boat! Glad to hear they're building boats!! It's funny in some of the threads in GD their talking about going 85 in another brands boat with a 525 like it was a milestone and here it is!

My boat came with a labbed Bravo prop. I tried a 28 P5X and it was night and day better in almost all respects--doesn't blow out as easily, carries the bow up better, better cruise speed (less slip), less chine walk tendencies. I was curious if your 29" Hydro prop was the "X" or the non "X" version, and how much speed you picked up from labbing it.

I don't know what my x dimension is. I measured from the propshaft to the bottom of the pad and my propshaft is about 3-1/4 inches below the bottom. If the x dimension is driveshaft to bottom distance, we just need to know propshaft to driveshaft distance to compare.

Sounds like you have a great set-up on the lake! You'll have to post more pics of your boat.
