$46k for an 01 280 w/500hp on an aluminum trailer is not out of line at all. Especially when being sold from Velocity. Kenny and Steve won't sell problem boats. Anything coming from their used inventory will be top notch.

Nobody is questioning the integrity of them or the boat they are selling. a friend of mine has bin trying to sell his 2003 velocity 496 ho in mint condition and hes the only owner now for four years. Obviously you havent priced these boats on the used market, that price is way to high. I sold a 2001 single engine performance boat last year. The 500 efi helps but not 15-20 k help. Look around.

Like I said the boat is gorgous. I would be very interested if it was priced right. Plus try to get a bank loan for that boat at that price..... LOL They would have you removed from the bank.

I looked at that boat online. I also think its priced way to high. I sold my 02 with built 509 (all the good stuf) in just as nice condition for 30K. Maybe I sold it to cheap, but it didn't sell easy. I have a feeling that boat will sit at that price, or will sell much cheaper. just my .02

I don't think 46K is out of line either. There's a lot of extra's on that boat. If it has been through a thorough inspection at the plant , and has their backing, that makes a difference.

A lot of people would rather buy a boat with a mercury motor than a custom built motor. So having a merc hp500, will usually pull more money than a similar boat with a higher up custom motor. That custom full length cover isn't cheap either. A new tubular platform will add $2k+.
Used cars are sold at a premium when sold through dealerships compared to cars sold through private sellers. I would assume same goes for a boat.
Also $46k is their listing price. I am sure that price is not set in stone.
