I had the 290 down as a spectator, and saw several others toolin around. Cabin fever..I saw your old boat @ bear bottoms as we stayed there also. We yelled at each other on the water over the motors but he didnt seem to be a talker so i didnt make any attempt at velocity chit chat on the dock. There was 2 blue/whites 26 & 28. One other that I could never get a good look at cuz mine is to slow. the more seat time I get in the 290 the more fun it gets. We ran along with the poker run boats and had an absolute blast. They do seem to air out well, in fact by the end Im pretty sure the wife was fist pumpin other boats and woo hooin as we flew in and out of the chop. What a blast.. I now see where the power fever starts in..The 496ho just wont be cutting it soon. I mean already..

Just noticed.. the thread topic says "Another Other Velocitys going to LOTO?"
It should say "Any Other Velocitys Going To LOTO?"
Stupid BlackBerry...lol
But it was a good weekend.. we ran the boat with the motor for the first time Thur. the day we left.. maybe 3 passes and put it on the trailer.
We tried a few different props but even at 103mph had a 17/16% slip.. with more set up time and testing Gary feels 105-107mph is in that hull with no other engine work.

The 290 is on my wish list! kinda sorta looking now, and hoping to have something bought this winter.
My old boat would have won its class if it ran. Its a sold 78-80mph boat.

I think it would have to be in NV2M1 which didn't have any anyone in it! LOL!!!!!
If it was placed in NV2F1 it would have gotten blown away. That class winner was 99mph.
My son wanted to race his rc boat in the mini shoot out two. I think he also would have won, only cause their were no other entries! twin engine v hull electric.
103mph is pretty dam impressive I must say. What kind of set up did you run?
