Its been for sale for ever! I heard it rough!

I sure like the price. Long way for me to go look at it to be disappointed by the condition though. Been there, done that before.

I like the red and white scheme, gives it a classic look. Can't tell much on the condition by the pics so hopefully someone here knows the boat.

I like that boat a lot because the Bulldogs are great 540s from what I've heard.

Big blowers and imcos would make it a 100mph. But then you'd have put 2x into it lol! Wouldn't be any other straight bottom boats even close though.

I fear it could be the iconic red, black and yellow brochure boat (with Bull Dogs) that Joel Ross was giving rides on at the 2001 Miami Boat show. I even have a Velocity Poker Runs T-shirt featuring the boat. That's definitely not a factory paint job in the classified so perhaps it is the brochure boat repainted on the cheap. What a shame if it's the same boat and no doubt it's very rough just like Tom heard.

update from Krewler's visit to see the boat , in his opinion the interior was good but the paint was not .

I bought the boat labor day 2015. Someone overheated both engines and cracked them. Finally got her running a couple weeks ago. Yes it was painted and it was in powerboat magazine yellow, black white red. I would love to get that issue if anyone has it. It is now white and red with stripe down the middle. Paint could have been better on the sides but bottom looks great. I went through upper drives, installed 572's 4.5x4.5 in her. After market 320cc heads, ported, 9.2 comp, hydraulic roller cams with. 237 int. and 243 ex. and. 640 lift.It fought me the whole way and still is. Messing with props and drive hieght. Anyone know where these drives run best on this boat. Looking for better cruise. Prop shafts are 3.5 inches below deadline behind the stakes. Pete

Best of luck with her and I'm glad to see this boat getting another lease on life. The drive heights came from the factory optimized for 4 blade Bravo's (or Hydro's although Hydro's are hard to plane off with). So unless there's shorty lowers and or drive spacers installed, the drives are where they ought to be. As I recall you can use -1" shorty lowers with 5 blade props on the 390 (same hull) so that may "work" for the heavier 410 boat. Running a 1" shorty increases top end a couple miles an hour but also makes planning harder. It's hard to say what the cruise impact will be considering the prop change.

It had 28 pitch bravo 1's. I got a set of 30 pitch sl4 props from Ron Hill. Hill marine. I picked up ten mph at 3200 rpm, now 41 mph at 3200 but still not enough. Should be doing 50 or better. I measured my propshaft C/L, it is 3.5 inches below deadrise. A little high I think. You can see the props are pushing water above surface. The fountains I read are running 4.5 inches below deadrise with a similar stepped transom. I just picked up a couple 1 inch spacers and waiting for them to get dropped off. I brought it up to 5000 briefly, still had throttle left and wasn't trimmed out plus one tab wasn't coming up (solenoid). Any way she isn't grabbing enough water. I let you know what it does with 1 inch spacers. I want my cruise, that's where it will be running most of the time. Not to mention efficiency

Revolocity, are running 5 blades now? That is an option for me as well. Thank for the reply by the way, I just sold a 1996 320 about a month ago

Nope - the extra top end with shorties and 5 blades wasn't worth the cost and the other trade-offs for me! I'm happy with my 4 blades, Maximus 5 blades may give you a better bite if the 4 blades aren't doing the job for you.

28 Bravos sound small for the power I'd think you would be running 32's. I'm running 55 plus depending on the water with 30's on my 320- I'd think 60 would be a nice easy cruise on your 410. The 410 isn't much slower than the 390 is it? Thought it was heavier...

Thought one of the Velocity regs here just had a set of 32's in swap shop.

390 is lighter. 410 is taller, maybe a tad longer. I have 30s now. It's thinking 32s. I have 1 inch spacers to try. Then I go to 5 blades

Thanks it was quite a bit of work

So now that this boat is mine and up and running. I would like find out what really happened to this boat. The interior was changed up. Boat was repainted. Drives were probably robbed or switched out. And evidence of heat in the engine bay. Yes it's running good and I like the boat. Just awfully strange things about it. Unless it isn't that boat. I can see some of the lines from the original paint and a bit of color here and there so ithinks the same boat.

I wonder what the VIN # was????

Doing some changes on engines. Going to aluminum heads, different manifolds, bumping compression up and changing out bumpsticks for more agressive. Going post all the crap that has happened from beginning when I get engine dynoed. Shooting for around 680hp and 700ft lbs. I'll post everything along the dyno results when they are done. Heads are getting ordered tomorrow. Hope my drives hold for the season. Won't know top end until I get better and drives. This can't happen fast enough

i bought new Brodix DS320 Dragonslayer Heads. Put drain backs to pan from heads, some Chambers work, going with longer duration Cams, adding water lines from rear intake to thermostat housings. GOR -DEN angle milled heads to achieve 10:1. Here are some pics. Should be picking up heads this week .

You can get these through summit racing for 1370 per set, bare at 119cc or 1603 per.
set angle milled anywhere from 119 to 110cc bare. The can be bought with CNC Chambers also

I have had my fair share of issues with the engines so once those are squared away then I can move to cosmetics. I will probably paint engine bay though white and speckled or fine splash with red. I didn't paint after I bought it and it always bothers me.
